The Health NCP Net is the network of all officially appointed Health National Contact Points (NCPs) and Contact Points in third countries. It provides information, guidance and technical assistance on European funds for health research projects. Our clients are researchers and research institutions willing to participate and be successful in the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Since most of the NCP host institutions are funded by national governments, the services of the network are offered free of charge. Find here a summary about us.
29 September 2010: EU-LAC InfoDay
EU-LAC Info Day particularly for NCPs, FP7 contacts, embassies, liaison offices of research organisations for raising visibility of Latin America and the Caribbean in Europe . 2011 work programmes of FP7 invite collaborations under the EU-LAC Joint Initiative for Research and Innovation. The event will take place in Madou Auditorium, Place Madou 1, 1210 Saint- Josse-Ten-Noode .
08.06.2010 Open Information Day and Brokerage Event
The European Commission organized an Open Information Day on FP7 Health research. The event aimed to highlight the novelties in the 2011 Work Programme published in July 2010. All the presentations and the webstreaming are now available on the events side .
HALTH-NCP-NET facilitated partnering of researchers by organizing a brokerage event.
20 - 21 May 2010: Innovation in Healthcare: from Research to Market. SMEs in focus
This conference organized by the services of the European Commission (DG Research and DG Enterprise and Industry) focused on SMEs operating in the health sector and on the drivers affecting their innovative capacity. It provided a forum to discuss policy developments at European and national level.

SME workshop on adverse drug reaction
The European Medicines Agency and the European Commission DG Research are considering organising a joint workshop on 13 September 2010 to raise awareness on the potential funding opportunities through the 7th Framework Programme for health research in 2011 and provide guidance to interested parties on the application procedure to be followed to facilitate applications from SMEs. HealthCompetence - now online
HealthCompetence.eu is a pan‐European Research Information System making keyinformation accessible on all projects funded by the EC within Health Science in the 6th and 7th Framework Programmes (FP6 & FP7). The information includes the projects’ results in terms of publications, patents and technology offers, and is an open source of information for the stakeholders, such as project coordinators, scientists, technology transfer officers, research administrators, policy makers & programme managers within academia, industry, the EC and other funding agencies.
IMI Partnering Platform - updated with topics
The IMI Partnering Platform set up by the German National Contact Point Life Sciences has been updated with regard to the indicative 3rd Call topics, which have been published by IMI JU. The Platform is especially dedicated to IMI which provides excellent networking opportunities to prepare for the upcoming 3rd IMI Call 2010.
SME Update
The Impact Assessment on small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) specific measures reveals positive impact. The European Commission’s Health programme aims to provide 15% of its funding to SMEs – find more about this ambitious target by reading the SME Update.
Training on Proposal Preparation - September 09
The general training for Health NCPs and ICPC participants took place from 28-30.09.09 in Mahon, Spain. It was attended by 44 participants from European Member States, Associated Countries and other countries such as Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Jamaica or South Africa. The focus of the training sessions was on preparation of FP7 project proposals and their socioeconomic impact.
Networking Day for all Health NCPs- 16th June 2009
The Networking Activity for all Health NCPs and ICPC CPs took place on 16th June 2009 in Brussels and was organises together with the Commissions Information Day for Health NCPs . It started with a hot debate on experiences with consultants, followed by presentations of research capacities in Belarus, Moldova and Georgia and on the new partnering platform for Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI). The consortium also encouraged participation in the Staff Exchange Programme, in the cartographical mapping of research in ICPC and in the preparation of the NCP Handbook.
HEALTH-NCP-NET at Research Connection in Prague
HEALTH-NCP-NET chaired a round table in which Health NCPs addressed challenges of researchers to participate in FP7. Health NCPs from France and Israel presented their experiences, which were followed by a questions/answers session. On this occasion HEALTH-NCP-NET collaborated with the SMEs go Health project. 4th June 2009: Brokerage Event in Prague
The Health Brokerage Event 2009 in the run-up phase of the opening of the 4th HEALTH Call will be jointly organised by “SMEs go Health” and the “Health-NCP-Net” in Prague, Czech Republic. More than 120 researchers from 25 countries registered to this event and participated in the prearranged bilateral meetings.
